Engineer, Educator, Entrepreneur—and an NHUSD Parent
As a software engineer with 20 years of experience, a father of a student in the New Haven Unified School District, and the husband of a teacher in NHUSD, I see our schools through the eyes of both a parent and a partner in education.
I hold a master's in computer science and economics, have worked as a lecturer, and now serve as founder and CEO of two companies and as a board member of a construction company. That mix of teaching, technology, and running organizations is what I bring to the board.
I'm running for School Board Trustee because every child deserves classrooms that prepare them for a changing world—and every teacher deserves the support to make that possible. That means funding the district can actually accept, hands-on classrooms, drug-free campuses, and a long-term push to raise enrollment and school ratings. I will listen to parents, teachers, and community members, work hard, and stay focused on the students and families who count on our schools.

Bring Funding Into the Classroom
Build public and private partnerships and clear the hurdles that keep grant dollars from arriving. Spend that money on paid teacher training and on modern classrooms through Mission Valley ROP, the regional occupational center New Haven already belongs to.

Let Students Build, Not Just Browse
Computer hardware, assembly, and robotics belong in the school day. Students love giving life to dead hardware—and this is the age of ideas, so they should also learn how to execute one.

A Drug-Free, Safe Campus
Parents name drug use as the worry that sits above the others. Detect smoke and vaping in restrooms, keep drugs off campus, and enforce zero tolerance for harassment so students and staff feel safe at school.

Grow Enrollment and Raise Ratings
Enrollment has fallen for years, and ratings move only when instruction, safety, and pathways improve together. Treat both as long-term work, measured in public, not as a one-year slogan.

Listen to Parents, Teachers, and Community
Stay focused on the students and families who count on our schools. Listen first, work hard, and keep decisions transparent and accountable to the people they affect.

- 9,956 K–12 students enrolled in 2025–26
- 19% fewer students in 2023–24 than in 2014–15
- 51% met the state English standard in 2025
- 38% met the state math standard in 2025
