Support and Train Our Teachers
Invest in training, time, and resources so every NHUSD educator can use new tools and do their best work.
New tools only help if teachers are set up to use them. Training, time, and resources are not extras—they are how classroom technology and higher standards become real.
I am the husband of a teacher in the New Haven Unified School District. I see how much educators carry, and I will push for support that matches the expectations we place on them.
Supporting teachers means listening to what they need, funding the training that makes new tools usable, and treating educator success as inseparable from student success.
What I'll push for
- Invest in training so teachers can confidently use classroom technology
- Protect time and resources teachers need to prepare and improve instruction
- Listen to educators when the Board weighs tools, programs, and priorities
- Treat teacher support as essential to raising academic standards, not optional
